DESCRIPTION:
Laxante is a mild laxative with prominent regulatory properties to the intestinal functions. It has carminative property that relieve flatulence.
COMPOSITION:
(SYRUP) Each 5m1 contains: Calcium Sennosides 20% 44mg & Extract from 50mg of Foeniculum Vulgare (B.P), 50mg of Cuminum Cyminum (I.P), 50mg of Mentha Piperita (B.P), 75mg of Zingiber Officinalis & 50mg of Trachyspermum Ammi (B.P). (Tablets) Each tablet contains: Foeniculum Vulgare (extract from 100mg (B.P), Cuminum Cyminum (extract from 100mg herb per tablet (I.P), Mentha Piperita (extract from 100mg herb per tablet (B.P), Zingiber Officinalis (extract from 150mg herb per tablet (B.P),Trachyspermum Ammi (extract from 100mg herb per tablet (B.P) Calcium Sennosides 20% 85mg.

PROPERTIES AND ACTIONS:
Laxante stimulates the entire digestive system, increase colonic motility, has a laxative and spasmolytic effect, relieves gas pains and can also be regarded as a detoxifying agent. Laxante contains natural components.
Foeniculum vulgare: It is used as Stimulant, Stomachic analgesic. It has anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic and expectorant action.
Cuminum Cyminum: Traditional uses of cumin include to reduce inflammation, increase urination, prevent gas, and suppress muscle spasms. It has also been used as an aid for indigestion, jaundice, diarrhea, and flatulence.
Mentha piperita: It is much valued as a carminative which relieves gastric discomforts, stimulant, antispasmodic which relieves muscle strain and stomachic for improving appetite.
Zingiber officinalis: To treat hemorrhoids, dyspepsia, flatulence, colic, vomiting, diarrhoea, spasms, and other stomach complaints.
Trachyspermum Ammi: It is much valued for its antispasmodic, stimulant, tonic and carminative properties. It is administered in flatulence, atonic dyspepsia and diarrhea, and often recommended for cholera.
Calcium sennosides: Senna may relieve constipation by stimulating the muscles of the colon to push fecal matter through more quickly. It may also help your colon absorb water to soften stool. You may expect a bowel movement within 6 to 10 hours of taking senna.
INDICATIONS:
*Constipation associated Hemmorhoids and anal fissures. *Fermenting and putrifying processes in the intestines. *Meteorism. *Intestinal autointoxication. *Flatulence, bloating, intestinal discomfort. *Mal-digestion related to sedentary life & decumbency. *Mal-digestion related to stress & psychological disturbance. *Mal-digestion due to heavy & fatty meals. *Borborygmi & colic associated with intestinal distension. For cleansing intestine prior to diagnostic investigations or surgery.
DOSAGE:
Tablets: Adults and children 12 years of age, administer 1 tablet once daily with a maximum of 2 tablets twice daily. Children 6 to 12 years of age, administer 1h tablet once daily with a maximum of 1 tablet twice daily. Syrup: Children 6 to 12 years of age: 1 to 1 1/2 teaspoon once daily with a maximum of 1 1/2 teaspoon twice daily. Children 2 to 6 years of age: 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon once daily with a maximum of 3/4 teaspoon twice daily. Adults and children above 12 years: 2 teaspoons once daily with maximum of 3’% teaspoons twice daily.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
In case of suspected stomach or intestinal ulcers, appendicitis and intestinal obstruction any type of laxative should be avoided, patient is to consult a doctor immediately.
SIDE EFFECTS:
When the recommended dosage is respected, side effects are extremely rare.
PRECAUTIONS:
Overdose of laxative may upset the water and electrolyte balance therefore dose adjustment must be carefully monitored. Keep away from children. Laxante should not be taken in cases of abdominal pain of unknown etiology, paralytic ileus, inflammatory diseases of the intestine, serious disorders of water or mineral balance, suspected stomach or intestinal ulcers and appendicitis. Laxante may be also prescribed and taken during pregnancy and lactation period according to medical instructions.
STORAGE:
Protect from light, excessive heat & moisture. Store in a cool and dry place below 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
