DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION:
CalciVit Tablets: Take 1 tablet two times daily with meal.
CalciVit Plus Tablets: Take 1 tablet two times daily with meal.
Combinations requiring precautions for use:
Risk of cardiac dysrhythmia. Also, clinical study is required, electrocardiographic and plasma calcium monitoring are recommended.
Thiazide diuretics reduce the renal elimination of calcium. Moreover, it is recommended that the calcium levels in plasma are monitored regularly.
Tetracyclines, Etidronate, Fluoride and Iron
Calcium includes the absorption of tetracyclines, etidronate, fluoride and iron. Also, Calcivit & Calcivit plus Tablets should be taken at least after a three hour gap.
Calcium may reduce the absorption of strontium. Moreover, Risk of a 60 to 70% reduction in strontium bioavailability on concomitant administration of calcium-containing products. It is recommended to avoid taking.
Estramustine and Thyroid hormones
Calcium reduces the absorption of Estramustine and Levothyroxine. Moreover, these medicines should be taken at least two hours before or after eating Calcivit & Calcivit plus tablets.
Treatment with Orlistat may potentially reduce the absorption of Vitamin D. Also,
consult your doctor if you have any medical conditions.
Clinical signs: Anorexia, intense thirst, nausea, vomiting, polyuria, polydipsia, dehydration, hypertension, vasomotor disorders, constipation.
Laboratory signs: Hypercalcaemia, hypercalciuria, impaired renal function tests.
Immediately stop all calcium and vitamin D supplements.
Protect from light, excessive heat and moisture.
Store in a cool & dry place below 30°C.
